So here’s the deal. This is a styled elopement, however, this shoot was extremely memorable and special to Chris and Chels. First of all, Chelsea was one of many that entered in a giveaway that I had posted via Instagram. She didn’t win, however what I did win (yes, plot twist) was meeting the most amazing and inspiring people around. I had a vision of an elopement shoot in Joshua Tree for quite some time. Finding the right people and vendors was just another apart of the journey in making this shoot come to life. I scrolled through my list of people that had entered my giveaway and something about them just caught my eye. I reached out the Chelsea about being part of the shoot and she and Chris were absolutely thrilled. I soon found out that Chris and Chelsea shared an intimate wedding just a year prior to our shoot, shortly around when Chelsea’s mother passed away. This shoot meant so much to them and they cherish these photos beyond measure. Styled shoots are obviously styled, but to me, finding the right fit and couple that will hold these photos close to their heart like this, are shoots I want to invest in. Shoots that hold meaning and are not just styled to showcase work. Now, I am dear friends with Chris and Chelsea and shot their baby announcement photos months following. Fast forward to February 2019, and they welcomed their beautiful son, William in to the world.
