I met Taylor through Instagram over two years ago. We had mutual friends through friends she made in college, that I knew in High school. Shortly after Jordan returned home from a long deployment, the two of them vacationed to Spain and Jordan popped the question. I knew immediately that I would die happy to be their wedding photographer and to my surprise, Taylor reached out to me asking if I would be willing to travel to Akumal, Mexico for their intimate, destination wedding. You bet I said yes! Fast forward some time, we did their incredibly beautiful engagement session a few months following their engagement and we hit it off on the road trip to Big Bear. Rather than becoming just her photographer, I instantly connected with them and we became super close during their wedding planning. Our boys hit it off as well and we became super close, to the point where they invited my fiancé, Brian to come along to Mexico, as a guest to their wedding! We are still very close and see them as much as possible and they are thee absolute sweetest, most genuine people I have ever met and I am so grateful to call them some of my closest friends. Damn am I lucky that my photography career has brought me such incredible friends.
Let’s talk about their wedding! From every single detail, Taylor being an interior designer definitely showed its colors. This venue actually wasn’t their original choice, but with a few hiccups along the way, they ended up with Secrets Akumal, just a two hour drive from Cancun. The resort included the floral and set up for their wedding and it came together beautifully. We all enjoyed a week long trip celebrating the newly weds.
